D'lish guest design team pieces

Hi all, I am so excited to be here today as a guest designer for D'lish scraps.
I have produced two pieces with stuff from my dlish scrap stash.

For my first piece I wanted to use a pattern paper piece as I don't use much as base piece.

I lighten the page up with some gesso then added stenciling with some modeling paste.

I added tinby metallic melts over the wooden frame piece.
I dripped some sprays around the stenciling.

I love all the flowers that dlish scraps have available, in this cluster I have Gardenias, Cosmos daisies, Alder daises and wiWd fowers
Also added some medium resin roses and a heart cabochon.

I used a paper doilie and added a cute little resin butterfly
To finish off the piece I added some red sequins just to tie all the colours in

For my second piece I wanted to use a white page, and to build up my background, which this style is starting to be my favourite way at the moment.

With the background I use scarp fx random dots stencil,  then use gelatos as a water colour and added that over the top, finishing off with some drips of dylusion spray.

I wanted to use a colour that would pop against the black and with some of dlish things being a brighter green, it worked well with the black.

I didn't want to over power with the black in the flowers so I only added one Daisy as the center piece and Forget me not, Carnations, medium resin roses, resin big bloom in a cluster
Also added a cute little sequin bow with a love heart flair.

Chipboard piece 'friend' is from word sheets, and I added some chalk ink over the top.

Behind the photo I added some tulle and a bitty bag.
To finish the bag off I added some wordfetti to give the piece some little journaling.

Hope you all have enjoyed my pieces, which I enjoyed making for dlish.

D'lish guest design team 'Get to know me better'

I have been lucky enough to be recently asked to have a part in the dlish guest design team.
In a few day my pieces that I made for dlish scraps will go live on there blog, showing all sorts of awesome products that dlish scraps can offer.

I was asked some question so people could get to know me better, so ive added then below.

Check out Dlish scarp blog to see all the amazing pieces by all th other ladies

Where are you from? Hi all, I'm Tanya Warren, I'm from the western suburbs of Victoria, Werribee.
Details of your scrapping journey so far ... I started scrapping about 4 years ago, mainly to keep records of the litter of rabbits I was breeding, and my passion for it just grew from there. I've been lucky enough to have my first appearance in a magazine this year and also was lucky enough to be in my first design team, so all happening for me this year.

Define your style ... I haven't really pin pointed my style just as yet, I'm starting to sway more to mixed media, but I still do enjoy doing clean pieces as well. But my love for mixed media is growing and growing.

Where do you draw inspiration from? I do a lot of blog hopping and YouTube tutorials to get inspiration. I attend almost every single one of Beck Beattie's classes, as I learn so much from them and find out how to use products I wouldn't of thought of using in so many ways, her classes are very inspirational.

What is your go-to embellishment/s? My go to embellishments would have to be flowers, it just makes everything look so pretty, and it makes your work pop more when there's some demotion from the flowers on it.

What's your creative trademark? Something that I am almost doing now in all my pieces is sanding the edge of my photos, I've leant it in a class and I love it, it gives that added interest to your photos with that little distressing.

When you're not scrapping ... When I'm not scrapping I'm working, spend time with my boyfriend, my best friend and her little boys (which they appear a lot in my work)

But I'll have to admit I do spend a lot of my spare time scrapping.

What is your greatest achievement? My greatest achievement would be to of made my first design team this year, as I never would of though a hobby of mine would get noticed and for people to get inspired by me.

Tell us something fun about yourself! I'm the most easy going, caring person by far, I'm a big kid at heart and still secretly love my looney tunes, yep that's right massive Tweety fan here.

I recently took up crocheting, I am determined to finish a blanket sometime this year, hopefully, maybe, if I get better and quicker at it.

Thanks for taking the time to have a read about me.

White with one challenge 'Marsala'

Hi all, first of the month and a new challenge colour to look forward too.

Have a look at the white with one blog with the link below to see all the inspiration pieces or this month.

This months colour was quite a difficult one to do, as pinterest and other avenues of searches gives you so many variations of the colour.

This is my attempt at the colour.

This picture was taken a little over a year ago, on a night out for my birthday. in the picture is my bestfriend and her hubby.
The colour in Brad's tshirt is what drawn me to use it as it gets pretty close to the colour.

I mixed a few different gelatos to get the colour water colour that I was happy with.
I also added some into the flower, just to make that flower pop a bit.

I also added some random stamping with prima chalk ink.

Products used:
White card stock
TCW stencil
Modeling paste
Chipboard with gesso
Cheesecloth
Gelatos

Thanks for taking the time to look.
