Kraft Plus challenge 'Mango Breeze

Hi all, this month a new challenge blog has come up called Kraft Plus. Where by using Kraft paper as your base and using the colours in the inspiration board in your piece.

And this what I came up with.

I didn't want to over power the page with lots of paper, so I thought I'd create my own background with the colours of the board, using different colour dabber paints and using the dabber part to give me the effect I was after.

There's layered tulle behind the photo to give some added interest

A few of Dlish scraps embellishment's are used on this page, flowers, wooden word, crochet heart.

Loved creating the background from scratch, using those dabbers where I hardly ever use them.

D'lish scraps february inspiration board

Hi all, this month im doing Dlish scraps February challenge.
Loved this months challenge, being a beach theme.

I purchased the 'Just add paper kit' which was filled with lots of goodies.

I had the perfect picture of my boyfriends niece, which was taken Australia day weekend last year Torquay beach.

This is my take on the February inspiration board.

I used Gelatos as water colours for my background. I absolutely love them, use then in so many way.
Thought id play around with some bubble wrap to give me the effect in the background, using it as a stamp with distress inks.

Lovely little goodies in the just add paper kit, cute little flowers and embellishments.

I used the paper collection from Kaisercraft collection Sandy Toes, colours in that collection fitted in perfect with this piece.

White with one challenge 'Celosia Orange'

Hi all, this month I have attempted the white with one challenge for the first time.
Loved this how its just the one colour and just play around with it.
Trying to find pattern paper with the same tone didn't work for me, so I just hunted through all of my stash finding what I could of other stuff.
I was also lucky enough to have one of Dlish scraps Monochromes Mini Kits in the orange which suited this piece perfectly.
This is my take on the colour.

I had to mix a few different product of orange together to get the colour I was happy with as I didn't want the background to over power too much. A few different colour orange gelatos in water with just the little drop of Dylusions Tangerine Dream did the trick.

All the embellishments are from Dlish scraps Monochrome Kits.
The flowers I added some Distress Inks Ripe Persimmon just to get it to the tone that I needed.
Also was lucky enough to be able to grab a container of Tinby Designs Metallic Melt Celosia Orange, added to the love heart.

A bit of orange cotton and a splashing of Dylusions to finish it off.

Birthday card for mum

Hi all, I've just recently gotten into card making and am starting to love it. Giving people that nice personal touch to a card and sitting down making the one for someone is so much more meaningful.

I recently made this card for my mum. I brought her a bras n things voucher and I used the gift box as inspiration, as I loved how the pink and black went together.

I tried to trick her and say I found the perfect matching card, took her a few looks before she realized that I made it.

I've never really gotten into using my embossing folders so I thought this would be a perfect project to use one for.
I used a chevron style one with the pink paper

I did some splattering with Dylusions spray black marble, and finished it off with a Kaisercraft flower, just to give it that extra girly touch.
