Thought i'd start off my first blog post with D'lish scrap October inspiration board
With it being my first time ordering "just add paper" kit and doing this challenge I thought i'd stick to the sketch as much as I could.
This is my take on the October inspiration board.
I had the perfect picture for this piece of my best friends kids, my godson Thomas and his older brother Christian.
I did a class with the awesome Beck Beattie on the weekend, we learnt ways to use water colours, so I thought with this piece i'd have a bit of a play with water colours.
I brought a cheap set from spotlight but may invest in a little dearer one as I found with some colours the pigment wasn't strong enough. But all in all I loved playing around with them.
I coloured in hessian with dylusions cut grass, I used a cream coloured hessian as it made the dylusions spray colour stay the same instead of using the natural colour hessian.
Loved all nick nacks that came in the "just add paper" kit.
